Our child courses are for children aged between 10 and 15. They are aimed towards developing experience in a new sport whilst being taught in a friendly manner. All our instructors have great experience in teaching climbing to children and we are sure that our enjoyable courses will offer an insight into smaller sports.

The Climbing Zone

Welcome to The Climbing Zone! – The exciting rock climbing experience.

Here for the summer holidays only it’s your chance to come along and have a great time in the wall. With climbing games and 14m tower climbing you’ll be sure to go home smiling!

With a focus around enjoyment and technique The Climbing Zone teaches you how to climb, how to belay and how to abseil.

You can check out your photos on the website afterwards and everyone gets a climbing information pack at the end. Come yourself, come with your brother or come with your friends – it’s a great way to hang out over the summer.

Improvers Course

What is it?

A 4hr course to develop skills already acquired from previous experience. We focus on making your climbing more efficient in movement and skills through practice and guidance allowing you to understand more about the sport.

Who’s if for?

Those with some experience in climbing who want to take the next step and get quality advice as to the best route for them. Those wanting a burst to their ability.

Cost : £39

Ability at end

Top-rope climbing and belaying should be to a safe and competent standard along with an understanding as to how to improve as a climber.

Leading Course

What is it?

Those keen youngsters who have the ability and drive to become independent from the top-rope! A structured 4 hr course with safety at its core, we explore the new challenges facing the leader and lead belayer.

Who’s it for?

Those on this course need a solid comprehension of belaying and as such all students must have been on the improvers course or arrange a competency demonstration with one of our instructors (use contact us).

Cost : £42

Ability at end

On successful completion of this course students should feel confident to register as independent members of any climbing wall in the UK.
